Summer's over...

today, while reading the book of Emily Dickinson's selected
poems, that was given to me by a special someone *.*
i recieved a forwarded sms...

if u give up when its winter,
ul mis d promise of ur spring,
d beauty of ur summer,
d fulfilment of ur fall.

Dont let d pain of 1 season
destroy d joy of the rest..

my friend who sent it, didn't know exactly who wrote it.
but strangely, as i turned the page of my book,
this poem came up...

It can't be summer,-that got through;
It's yet early for spring;
There's that long town of white to cross
Before the blackbird sing.

It can't be dying,-it's too rouge,-
The dead shall go in white.
So sunset shuts my question down
With clasps of chrysolite.

there's a full year ahead to experience
different seasons, so no need to hang over and linger with the past. just leave the past as the foundation of what to anticipate.
